Panels:

With zipBoard's panels, navigating documents is now a breeze. Users can easily click through pages, eliminating the need for extensive scrolling. The panel also offers zoom functionality for improved visibility and includes a thumbnail view for quick navigation, which is particularly useful in time-sensitive projects. Outlines within the thumbnail view further enhance access to specific document sections, making your workflow more efficient and streamlined.


View Controls:

zipBoard's view controls offer teams a multitude of options to tailor their viewing experience according to their preferences and project requirements.

  • Page Transition - Seamlessly switch between continuous scrolling or page-by-page navigation, catering to different workflow preferences.
  • Page Orientation - Rotate pages clockwise or counter-clockwise for enhanced viewing control, particularly useful for documents with varied orientations.
  • Page Layout - Choose from single-page, double-page, or cover-facing layouts to optimize viewing setup, improving clarity and comprehension for individuals.

Zooming Options:

zipBoard offers teams convenient ways to adjust their view for enhanced collaboration and review.

  • Numeric Zoom - Easily adjust the zoom level by selecting preset percentages or fit-to-width/fit-to-page options for optimal visibility.
  • Marquee Zoom - Select a specific area within the document by dragging a marquee selection tool. Upon release, zipBoard automatically zooms in on the selected area for detailed inspection.

Quick Controls:

Alternatively, utilize intuitive plus and minus buttons for swift zoom adjustments, ensuring seamless collaboration during document review.

Mark Up Tools

View Tab

This tab allows users to view the document without making any annotations, providing a clear and unobstructed view for reference or review.

Annotate Tab

Within this tab, users can access various basic annotation tools to mark up the document effectively.

  • Highlight: This tool allows users to apply a translucent color overlay to emphasize specific text or elements within the document.
  • Free Text: Users can add text directly onto the document, providing additional context or comments.
  • Rectangle: This tool enables users to draw rectangular shapes around specific areas of interest within the document.
  • Free Hand: Represented by a pencil icon, this tool allows users to draw freehand lines or annotations directly onto the document.
  • Free Hand Highlight: Similar to the free hand tool, this option allows users to draw highlighted areas freely on the document.

New Additions:

  • Underline: Users can underline text to indicate emphasis or importance within the document.
  • Strikeout: This tool allows users to draw a line through text to indicate deletion or removal.
  • Squiggly: Similar to underline and strikeout, this tool adds a wavy line to text for additional emphasis or to indicate a suggestion for change.
  • Note: Represented by a callout box.

Customization Options:

Upon selecting any of the annotation tools, users can customize various aspects such as color, opacity, stroke thickness, and text styles to tailor the annotations according to their preferences or project requirements.

Additional Controls:

On the far right of the interface, users will find undo buttons and an eraser icon, providing options to correct or remove annotations as needed.

Shapes Tab

Designed with AEC teams in mind, this tab introduces essential tools for precise document annotation and markup.

  • Ellipse: Create elliptical shapes to highlight specific areas or elements within documents.
  • Arc: Add curved lines or arcs to draw attention to curved features or sections within drawings or designs.
  • Polygon: Draw polygons to outline specific areas or shapes within architectural or engineering plans.
  • Cloud: Just like polygon but with spiral line.
  • Line: Draw straight lines to connect points or delineate boundaries within drawings or schematics.
  • Polyline: Create complex, multi-segmented lines to outline intricate features or paths within designs.
  • Arrow: Add arrows to indicate directions, flows, or points of interest within architectural or engineering drawings, enhancing clarity and communication.

Insert Tab

An enhanced feature set designed to provide teams or individuals with expanded document customization options.

Old Player Features:

  • Signature: Quickly add digital signatures to documents for approval.
  • Stamp: Utilize predefined stamps for common annotations or create custom stamps for specific needs.

New Additions:

  • Insert Image: Effortlessly incorporate images into your documents to enhance visual communication.

  • Callout: Highlight key points or provide additional context with callout annotations.

Fill and Sign

A suite of tools designed to streamline document completion and authentication.

  • Cross (or X): Use the cross tool to mark items as incorrect, highlight errors, or indicate items for removal within documents.
  • Tick (or Check): Employ the tick tool to confirm or approve items, validate completed tasks, or indicate correctness within documents.
  • Dot: Utilize the dot tool to indicate points of interest, highlight specific areas, or mark items for attention within documents.
  • Calendar Stamp: Seamlessly add date and time stamps to documents for record-keeping, tracking changes, or establishing document timelines.

Additional Tools

Search: Seamlessly locate specific keywords within documents, facilitating efficient navigation and information retrieval.

Comment Tab: Access all comments made within the document, enabling users to search, sort, and filter comments based on various criteria.

Users can reply to comments, approve them directly from the document, and manage their own comments by editing or deleting them.

Settings Tab: Customize your viewing experience with options such as Full Screen mode, Print functionality, Dark Mode for reduced eye strain, and Language preferences.

Just a note, language does not translate the document, but only the words in the player.
