How do I get SME feedback on an Articulate Rise course?

Rise 360 courses usually go through several rounds of SME and stakeholder review before launch. Reviewers want to comment on the exact block they're reading. Authors want every comment in one place, with an owner, and a way to check fixes in the next version. This guide shows how to do that in zipBoard with a published Rise course.

1. Publish the course

In Rise, publish the course to SCORM (or web/HTML) and download the ZIP. zipBoard reviews the package directly, so you don't need an LMS. You can also review a SCORM package you received from someone else, or one you exported from another tool.

2. Upload it to zipBoard

Create a project (or use a learning design template) and upload the ZIP. See Review a SCORM course without an LMS. Reviewers annotate directly on the course screens. Check Course upload requirements for how each authoring tool is supported.

3. Invite your SMEs

  • Add the people who must sign off as Reviewers and set a due date. See Mandatory reviewers.
  • For everyone else, send a share link. They don't need an Articulate licence, and you choose whether the link requires sign-in. See Share links.

4. Collect and work through feedback

Each comment is pinned to the place in the course where it was made and can become a task with an assignee and status. Reviewers finish by marking Approved or Changes Requested. See Complete your review and Track reviewer progress.

5. Next round

Make the changes in Rise, publish again, and upload the result as a new version of the same course. Reviewers see it under New version since you reviewed and can compare versions side by side to answer "what was addressed in my new version?". See Version control in eLearning projects and Compare SCORM versions.
