Customizing Statuses at the Project Level
Previously, users were limited to adding and managing task statuses only at the organization level. This constraint often led to a lack of flexibility in adapting statuses to the unique requirements of individual projects.
📌 Please read zipBoard's recent updates, users can now move the storing and creation of statuses to the project level, allowing for more granular control and customization.
- Navigating to Project Statuses:
To take advantage of the enhanced status management at the project level, follow these simple steps:
a. Go to the "Projects" section.
b. Select the specific project you want to customize.
c. On the left-hand side, just below the phases, locate and click on "Statuses."

- Viewing and Creating Statuses:
a. Within the "Statuses" section, you'll find a list of current statuses associated with the project.
b. To add new statuses, simply click on the relevant option (usually labeled "Add Status" or similar).
c. Name your status and set any additional parameters as needed.
d. Save the changes, and your new status is now available for use within the selected project.

- Setting Default Status for Tasks:
a. After creating your statuses, you have the option to set a default status for all tasks created within the project.
b. Look for the "Default Status" or a similar setting in the project's status configuration.
c. Choose the desired status from the available options and save your changes.

- Managing Statuses at the Task Level:
a. Alternatively, you can manage statuses on a task-by-task basis.
b. Navigate to the "Tasks" section.
c. Select the specific task for which you want to modify the status.
d. Look for the "Status" option and scroll down to find "New Statuses."
e. Here, you can choose from existing statuses or create a new one specific to the task.
f. Save the changes, and the task will now reflect the updated status.
With these steps, you can now enjoy a more flexible and tailored approach to managing statuses within your projects, adapting them to the specific needs of each task. This enhancement provides a more dynamic and efficient way to organize and track progress within your projects.
