How to Manage Custom Statuses?
Managing your project’s statuses effectively is crucial for maintaining a streamlined workflow. Custom statuses in zipBoard allow you to tailor your project’s progress tracking to meet your team’s unique needs. This guide will walk you through managing custom statuses, including how to delete them, handle statuses associated with tasks, and avoid duplicate statuses.
Deleting All Custom Statuses
- Action: Select the option "Delete all custom statuses."
- Result: This will remove all custom statuses, retaining only the default ones.
- Note: If you attempt to add a custom status that already exists in the project, the system will prevent duplicates by not adding it again.
Deleting a Status with Associated Tasks
If you try to delete a status that has associated tasks, a prompt will appear. This prompt will ask you to select another status to replace the one being deleted. Once you choose a new status and click "Apply," the original status will be deleted, and all associated tasks will be updated to the newly selected status.
Duplicate Status Detection
zipBoard automatically detects and prevents the creation of duplicate statuses. This feature ensures that your project overview remains clean and efficient, preventing confusion and maintaining clarity across your team’s workflow.
By following these steps, you can easily manage custom statuses in your projects, ensuring that your workflow stays organized and efficient.
