Simplify Task Management with AI-Powered Task Types

AI-powered task types let you set up a project's task types from suggestions tailored to your industry. Super Admins, Admins, and Project Owners can add task types, choose the default task type, and delete the ones they don't need.

This feature is available at the project level only.

Who can add, set, and delete task types?

Super Admins, Admins, and Project Owners can:

Add new task types at the project level.
Set the default task type for a project.
Delete project-level task types.

How does the default task type work?

The default task type is user-defined.
The task type selected as the default cannot be deleted. All other task types can be removed.
The default is set to "BUG" initially, but you can change it.

Example: If the default task type is set to "Enhancement," that type is protected from deletion and the others can be deleted as needed.

AI-powered task types suggest predefined task categories based on the nature of your project. Whether you work in construction, design, or software development, zipBoard tailors the suggestions to your industry.

Enable AI-powered task types

Log in to zipBoard and open your project dashboard.
Navigate to Task Types.
Select your industry (for example, Architecture, Engineering, Construction). This helps the AI suggest relevant task types.
Click Save to apply the changes. AI-powered task types are now active in your project.

Which industries are supported?

zipBoard supports a wide range of industries, including Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC), Software Development, Marketing, and more.

How do I use AI-suggested task types?

zipBoard generates task type suggestions based on common practices in your field. You add them from the "Bulk Actions (AI-powered)" dropdown in Task Types.

Add Recommended Architecture, Engineering, and Construction types:
- Select "Add Recommended Architecture, Engineering, and Construction statuses" from the "Bulk Actions (AI-powered)" dropdown.
- Click Apply to view the suggested task types.
- To save the suggestions, click "Save all suggested task types".
- To remove individual suggestions, click the "x" beside each one. To remove all of them, select "Delete unsaved task types".
Add Recommended Software Development types: Select "Add Recommended Software Development statuses" from the dropdown and click Apply. Review the suggestions, then save or remove them.
Add Recommended Education and eLearning types: Select "Add Recommended Education and eLearning types" from the dropdown and click Apply. Manage the suggestions the same way.
Add Recommended Marketing and Advertising types: Select "Add Recommended Marketing and Advertising types" from the dropdown, click Apply, and review the suggestions.
Add Recommended Manufacturing types: Select "Add Recommended Manufacturing types" from the dropdown, click Apply, and manage the suggestions.
Add Recommended Finance and Banking types: Select "Add Recommended Finance and Banking types" from the dropdown, click Apply, and manage the suggestions.
Add Recommended Legal types: Select "Add Recommended Legal types" from the dropdown and click Apply.
