How Secure is zipBoard?

How secure is zipBoard?

  1.  How Secure are my data?

zipBoard uses Amazon’s Web Services (AWS) for hosting our platform and data. zipBoard’s personnel have no physical access to the data centres and we rely completely on AWS’s services to manage the deployment and operation of our software. The AWS infrastructure has been architected to be one of the most flexible and secure cloud computing environments available today. It is designed to provide an extremely scalable, highly reliable platform that enables customers to deploy applications and data quickly and securely. This infrastructure is built and managed not only according to security best practices and standards but also with the unique needs of the cloud in mind.

User data protection & security is a top priority for zipBoard. We want to make sure that while using zipBoard you & your client’s data are secure & protected. We make every effort to share our security policies and practices

Our commitment to our customers :

a)  We use best practices and tools for security compliance and manage internal and external audits to build a robust and secure platform.

b)  We only use and process data for delivering the best product experience.

2. How secure is AWS?

AWS uses redundant and layered controls, continuous validation and testing, and a substantial amount of automation to ensure that the underlying infrastructure is monitored and protected 24x7. AWS ensures that these controls are replicated in every new data centre or service. All AWS customers benefit from a data centre and network architecture built to satisfy the requirements of our most security-sensitive customers. This means that you get a resilient infrastructure, designed for high security, without the capital outlay and operational overhead of a traditional data centre.

AWS computing environments are continuously audited, with certifications from accreditation bodies across geographies and verticals, including SOC 1/SSAE 16/ISAE 3402 (formerly SAS 70), SOC 2, SOC 3, ISO 9001 / ISO 27001, FedRAMP, DoD SRG, and PCI DSS Level 1. 3. Who has access to all my data??

Access to customer data and logs is restricted to only authorized employees. Security training is provided to all employees and contractors. On termination of employment or contracts, all access to internal systems is revoked. Password managers / SSH access is used to administer systems & service accounts.

The security of your information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as a credit card number) as part of our service, we encrypt the transmission of that information using industry-standard encryption. zipBoard uses commercially reasonable and industry-standard physical, managerial, and technical safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of your information. For example, we continuously and regularly back up your data to help prevent data loss and aid in data recovery.

4. What about your disaster recovery and backups?

Scheduled weekly & monthly backups (EBS & S3 snapshots) are done to ensure continued access & fabulous backup solutions. Well-tested & fast access to backups also stored on AWS.

We understand the importance of data & more importantly customer data. We treat security as our top priority and work hard to win our customers’ trust.
