How do I review AI avatar and training videos? (Synthesia, Colossyan and other AI video tools)
AI video tools such as Synthesia and Colossyan make it quick to produce training videos with an AI presenter. Before publishing, someone still has to check that the script is accurate, the pronunciation is right, and the on-screen text and visuals match what the presenter says. zipBoard lets reviewers comment at the exact moment in the video, so the editor knows precisely what to fix.
1. Export the video
Download the video as an MP4 from your AI video tool. Some tools, such as Synthesia on enterprise plans, can also export a SCORM package (Synthesia SCORM export). For review, the MP4 is simplest.
2. Upload it and invite reviewers
Upload the MP4 to your project, add the SMEs who must approve it as Reviewers, and set a due date. Others can comment through a share link. See Upload and review videos and Mandatory reviewers.
3. What reviewers should check
- Script accuracy: facts, numbers, product and policy names
- Pronunciation: names, acronyms and technical terms (AI voices often get these wrong)
- On-screen text: matches the narration, with no typos or cut-off captions
- Visuals: the right screenshots, branding and timing
- Presenter: gestures and expressions suit the message
Reviewers pause the video and comment on the frame. Each comment keeps its timestamp, and comments can become tasks with an assignee. See Upload and review videos.
4. Upload the corrected version
Regenerate the video, then upload it as a new version of the same file. Reviewers can compare the two versions to confirm every fix. See Version control.
