How to Download PDFs with Annotations and Comments in zipBoard
Collaborating on PDFs becomes challenging when stakeholders need offline access to review annotations and comments, leading to potential miscommunication. To make the process easier, zipBoard now lets you download PDFs with all annotations and comments intact, ensuring feedback is accessible even without logging in.
Where Can You Use This Feature?
You can now download the annotated PDF to:
- Share via Email with stakeholders who prefer offline access or cannot log in to zipBoard.
Save for Future Reference for use in meetings, presentations, or offline reviews.
Note: Comments will only appear in standard PDF readers (such as Chrome or Adobe Acrobat) that support annotated PDFs. Ensure your viewer is compatible to access all feedback.
Here’s how you can use this feature:
Step-by-Step Guide to Download PDFs with Annotations
1. Open the Project
- Log in to your zipBoard account.
- Navigate to the Project where the PDF you want to download is located.
2. Select the PDF File
- Within the project, locate and click on the PDF file you want to review.
3. Open the Review Panel
- After selecting the PDF, click Review to open the file for annotations and comments.
4. Access the Download Option
- On the Review screen, click on the Settings icon (⚙️) at the top-right corner.
5. Download the PDF
In the settings dropdown, select Download PDF.
This will generate a PDF that includes all the annotations and comments added during the review process.
6. Open the PDF Using Chrome (or Any PDF Viewer)
Once downloaded, open the PDF in Google Chrome or another PDF viewer.
Tip: In Chrome, hover your mouse over any annotation to reveal comments. This ensures that all feedback is clearly displayed for review.
