How are Guest Collaborators different from Guest Reviewers?
Let's differentiate the two!
Guest Collaborators:
Anyone who collaborates on your zipBoard project using the login required share link is referred to as a guest collaborator. Guest collaborators when invited to collaborate, need to signup and then they can review the file they are invited to collaborate on.
Collaborators within zipBoard are individuals invited directly through the platform using the “add collaborator” button. They have full access to the project and its assets, allowing them to contribute feedback, comments, and annotations throughout the review process.
In contrast, guest collaborators have a more limited role. They can only review an asset once a shared link has been granted to them. Unlike collaborators, guest collaborators do not have access to the project interface and cannot interact directly within zipBoard. Instead, they are directed to the specific file being reviewed via the shared link. This ensures that guest collaborators can provide feedback on the relevant content without accessing the broader project environment.
Workflow for Guest Collaborators
Receive a Link from the Project Manager
The external reviewer will receive a shared link from the project manager. Their access and permissions will depend on the settings configured for the shared link.
Sign In or Sign Up to zipBoard
• If they already have a zipBoard account, they can sign in directly.
• If they don’t have an account, they’ll need to sign up to access the project.
Start Reviewing the Content
Once logged in, reviewers can begin reviewing the shared content by adding comments or annotations.
Share Feedback with the Internal Team
All feedback added by external reviewers will be automatically visible to the internal team for further action.
Guest Reviewers:
Anyone who reviews your zipBoard project using the no login required share link is referred to as a guest reviewer. Guest reviewers when invited to review, doesn't need to signup to zipBoard. They can directly review the files they are invited to review.
Importantly, guest reviewers do not have access to the project as a whole; rather, they are limited to accessing and providing feedback on the specific file being reviewed.
Workflow for Guest Reviewers
Access the Shared Link
External reviewers will receive a shared link from the project manager. The content and permissions they see will depend on the settings of the shared link.
Start the Review Process
Once they access the file, reviewers can begin adding comments, annotations, or markups directly on the content.
Feedback is Shared with the Internal Team
All feedback submitted by external reviewers will automatically be visible to the internal team for action and follow-up.
